Maplewood Richmond Heights Teacher of the Year, Janine Lillard, 2nd/3rd Grade Looping Teacher, has not only been named the Elementary School Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year, but most recently has been recognized as the MRH Emerson Teacher of the Year.
The Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards, sponsored by Emerson, recognizes more than 100 educators in the St. Louis metropolitan area - from kindergarten teachers to college professors - who are examples of excellence in their field.
“Janine exhibits every single characteristic and cornerstone that we value here at MRH. She has continuously pushed not only her students and peers each year to reach new levels of excellence, but she holds herself to that exact same standard. Her commitment along with the rest of our staff is truly an inspiration,” said Superintendent Karen I. Hall.
