Excited to see Special School District recognizing two Maplewood Richmond Heights leaders.
At Thursday night's annual SSD awards banquet, MRH board director Brandi Herndon-Miller received the Special Ambassador Award. It is the highest recognition given by SSD. The award is presented to community members who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to the students and/or staff of SSD.
“I am so grateful and appreciative to Pastor Clarence Hines for recommending me for this award and to SSD for finding me worthy of it. Especially grateful to the kids who have 
allowed me to be a part of their lives,” Herndon-Miller said.
Also Thursday, Kierra Fowler of MRH Elementary received the Building Block Award. This award honors outstanding paraprofessionals for their contributions to the lives of SSD students.
“We are so happy that Mrs. Fowler is part of the MRHE team,” said Ben Gleason, Special Education Administrator for the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District.
