The Animal Protective Association is more than $500 richer today, thanks to the hard work on a hot afternoon by students in the MRH Summer Enrichment Program, The students divided up into two groups and competed for the most money raised at a lemonade stand outside MRH Elementary. The "Elemonadors" raised nearly $200, while the "Yippy Cats" took in more than $250. Many customers paid more in donations to supplement the final total. Turnout was very high in the 5th year of the lemonade stand.
Founded in 1922, the Animal Protective Association of Missouri is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people and pets together, advancing humane education and creating programs beneficial to the human/animal bond.
